Appointments

We operate on an appointment-based system but always strive to accommodate urgent cases where possible. Appointments can be booked by calling our practice on (02) 4288 1020 or via HealthEngine.

If you need to discuss multiple medical concerns or require a longer consultation—for example, for a Driver's License assessment, Full Medical (personal or company), Full Skin Examination, or Pap Smear—please inform our reception team when booking so we can allocate the appropriate time.

Our patients are our top priority. To help us run smoothly and minimise waiting times, we kindly ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment. This allows us to maintain a calm, efficient environment for everyone.

After Hours Care

  • We offer our patients the security, comfort and peace of mind knowing that they have 24 hours, around the clock care. This care is provided by:
    • Illawarra Radio Doctor (Ph: 4228 5522)
    • Shellharbour Private Hospital (Ph: 4296 6666).
  • However, we do advice, that if it is a medical emergency to call 000

  • Home visits are available upon request, for patients of this practice only and can be obtained by calling, during business hours.

Work Cover

  • Please be aware that work related injuries will be billed to the insurance company of your workplace. And it is your responsibility to lodge all paperwork. If a claim is rejected, the account becomes your responsibility.

Fees & Payments

  • At the patients convenience our Medical Practice bulk bills, this means there is no up-front or out-of-pocket cost for most general consultations. All that is required of you for your visit is your current Medicare Care and if applicable your Health Care Card, Pension Card, or Veteran Affairs Card.
  • For those not registered with Medicare fees apply:
    • Level B Consult - $50
    • Level C Consult - $80
    • Level D Consult - $110
  • Some consultations are not covered by Medicare for example: Medical Assessments or Integrative Medicine.
  • Transfer of your complete medical record incurs a $40 fee (concessions may apply).
  • Please ask reception staff for any additional fees that may be involved with your visit.

Pathology & Test Results

  • As part of our privacy policy and due to risks associated with electronic communication (i.e. phone and email) we do not discuss results using these means.
  • Therefore, an appointment with the doctor will need to be booked, following the regular procedure. Reception will recall patients whose results need reviewing and in urgent cases the doctor will contact you.

Repeat Prescriptions

  • Most prescriptions provide sufficient medication to last until your conditions needs reviewing. Repeat prescriptions are therefore only given after an assessment of your condition is done during a consultation, where the doctor will reassess and prescribe as deemed necessary.

Interpreter Services

  • Not only do we use NABS, a service that provides interpreters for deaf, deafblind and people hard of hearing, but we’re also members of TIS who provides on-site or phone interpreting for non-English speaking patients.

  • Interpreter bookings must be made in advance so please ensure you advise reception with as much notice as possible if you require this service.
