Our Practice

Warilla Medical Centre proudly opened its doors on 12th February 2018. Conveniently located in the heart of Warilla on George Street, our modern facility is surrounded by local businesses and is easily accessible to the wider community.

 

Our practice offers a vibrant, family-friendly, and professional environment, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced information systems. We are committed to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare through a team of dedicated and experienced doctors who provide a comprehensive range of general medical services — all with the convenience of bulk billing.

 

We are open five days a week and supported by a passionate team including several qualified medical professionals, a registered nurse, and two friendly reception staff, all working together to ensure each patient receives efficient and compassionate care.

 

The practice includes:

  • Five consulting rooms

  • A fully equipped treatment room

  • An allied health room

  • A fully computerised system to support smooth and secure patient care

Your information is used solely for the purpose of providing high-quality healthcare, including diagnosis, treatment, referrals, and communication with other healthcare providers involved in your care. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, unless required or authorised by law.

 

We take all reasonable steps to ensure your information is stored securely and only accessed by authorised staff. You have the right to access and correct your personal health information at any time.

 

If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, please speak with our reception team or contact the Practice Manager.

Accessing our Practice

  • We have parking at the front, side and back of our practice. 

  • Facilities for People with Disabilities - Our practice is fitted with a disabled toilet, as well as parking and wheelchair access ramps around the front, side and back. 

  • We also work in conjunction with Illawarra Taxi Network to provide quality transport to and from our practice, with a rank only a few doors up as well as on-call front door drivers.

Email & Phone Correspondence

Although emails are checked regularly throughout the day we do not directly respond to them. Rather, we aim to follow up any concerns in a timely manner via phone. And in regards to contacting your doctor, you can appreciate that while he/she is consulting they are unable to take a call. You will need to inform the receptionist of the nature of your call and they will pass that onto the intended doctor.

Confidentiality & Managing Medical Records

In correlation to our practice policy and overall aim to provide you with the best care, we collect and record all consultations, illnesses, tests, prescriptions and other treatments recorded by everyone involved in your care and treatment. This information is stored electronically by practice staff.

In certain circumstances we will disclose patient health information to other organisations involved in your care.

Dr Muhammad Raza - Principle GP/ Owner (M)

Dr. Muhammad Raza is the Principal General Practitioner and proud owner of both Warilla Medical Centre and Shellharbour City General Practice. With a wealth of experience and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, Dr. Raza has become a trusted and respected GP within the local community.

 

He has extensive knowledge across multiple areas of general practice, including chronic disease management, mental health, preventative care, skin health, paediatrics, and both men’s and women’s health. His holistic and evidence-based approach ensures patients receive thorough, compassionate, and personalised care.

 

Dr. Raza is also passionate about the future of medicine and plays an active role in medical education. He is a qualified GP Registrar Supervisor, supporting the next generation of General Practitioners through structured mentoring and training. In addition, he serves as a Medical Student Supervisor for the University of Wollongong, helping medical students develop their clinical skills and professional confidence in a real-world general practice setting.

 

As the founder of two successful practices, Dr. Raza leads a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in care, continuous improvement, and community health. Under his leadership, both clinics have grown into welcoming, accessible, and high-performing medical centres.

Dr Mohammed Rayyan - General Practitioner (M)

Dr. Rayyan is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner with a special interest in skin health, dermatology, and minor cosmetic procedures. With a strong foundation in general practice and a passion for skin care, she offers patients expert advice and tailored treatment plans for a wide range of skin-related concerns.

 

Dr. Rayyan is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in both general medicine and skin health. She is experienced in performing skin checks, early skin cancer detection, minor surgical procedures, and aesthetic treatments, all while ensuring her patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their care journey.

 

Her warm and approachable nature allows her to build genuine, trusting relationships with her patients. Whether managing chronic conditions, providing preventative health advice, or addressing cosmetic concerns, Dr. Rayyan brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to every consultation.

Dr Shiyana -
General Practitioner (F)

Dr. Shiyana is a warm, compassionate, and highly experienced General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals and families across all stages of life. With a strong clinical background and a holistic approach to medicine, she is committed to supporting her patients’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

 

Dr. Shiyana has experience across a broad range of general practice areas, including women’s health, children’s health, chronic disease management, preventative care, and mental health. She takes the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and work in partnership with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

 

Her calm and approachable manner makes her especially popular with patients seeking continuity of care, and she is known for building trusting, long-term relationships with the individuals and families she cares for.

Renee 
Practice Manager

Renee is our dedicated Practice Manager, bringing a wealth of experience in healthcare administration and leadership to the clinic. With a strong background in practice operations and patient services, Renee ensures that our practice runs smoothly and efficiently each day.

 

Her warm, approachable nature and commitment to excellence make her a key point of contact for both patients and staff. Renee oversees the day-to-day running of the clinic, manages our administrative team, and supports our doctors and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

 

Renee is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits the clinic. She takes great pride in providing outstanding customer service and is always happy to assist with any questions, concerns, or feedback patients may have.

 

Her key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily practice operations

  • Managing appointments, staff schedules, and workflow

  • Supporting clinical and administrative teams

  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Michelle
Assistant Practice Manager (On-Call)

Michelle is our trusted Second-in-Charge (On-Call) and a valued member of the management team at Warilla Medical Centre. With a strong background in healthcare administration and team coordination, Michelle plays a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the practice.

 

As 2IC, Michelle provides essential leadership and support to both clinical and administrative staff. She steps in confidently to oversee daily operations when needed, ensuring continuity of care, efficient workflow, and a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.

 

Michelle is known for her proactive attitude, problem-solving abilities, and calm, supportive presence. She works closely with the Practice Manager and Principal GP to uphold high standards across the clinic and is always ready to assist with staff training, patient queries, and practice coordination.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Practice Manager with daily operations

  • Assisting with rostering, staff support, and team communication

  • Overseeing patient services and front desk operations

  • Ensuring smooth clinic function during on-call responsibilities

  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service and care

 

Michelle is deeply committed to patient wellbeing and takes pride in helping the practice run efficiently and compassionately. Her professionalism, reliability, and approachable nature make her a trusted leader and go-to team member.

 

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading and being active outdoors.

Emma
Practice Nurse

Emma is a compassionate and experienced Practice Nurse who plays a vital role in the care and wellbeing of our patients. With a background in both hospital and community health settings, Emma brings a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to nursing care.

 

She is highly skilled in chronic disease management, wound care, immunisations, health assessments, and preventive health education. Emma works closely with our GPs and allied health team to ensure continuity of care and support for patients of all ages, from young children to the elderly.

 

With a warm and approachable manner, Emma takes the time to listen to patients' concerns, explain procedures clearly, and provide ongoing support. She is also passionate about health promotion and empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare journey.

Welcoming Psychologist Tracey Cairns to Our Practice​

We are pleased to welcome Tracey Cairns, Registered Psychologist, to our team. Tracey will be consulting three days a week – Wednesday to Friday – and is available to see patients for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and more.

If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan in place from your GP, your sessions with Tracey will be bulk billed.
